Default Polemaster

I've used Massoids sweet little polar EZ / Gstar device for quite a while now to do my polar alignments but when I sold of my Synta mounts I found that it no longer worked (or fit) to the Vixen SXP(beautiful thing that it is:) So after some beggaring around I bought a Polemaster from QHY - and a good thing I did too. It is a great device and very accurate. Simple to use even for a klutz like me. I'm very impressed. The manual is like most QHY stuff but with some liberal interpretations all becomes clear.
The unit works in the southern hemisphere no problem and it took me probably no more than 15 mins out of the box to have the best polar alignment I have had .
Worth a look folks - truly

Hi Vin
Yep - http://www.gamaelectronics.com.au/polemaster.html - cost me 461 delivered with an adapter for the G11 mount. All adapters are the same price - as it happens the G11 'sort of ' fits the SXP . I am impressed with it Vinnie - very simple and afterwards I hooked up one of Massoids LP cameras and put Canopus on the X mark and it just stayed there for a good 5 mins. It looks pretty good

+ 1 endorsement. I also bought one and can't be more pleased with it. I ordered two mount adapters (1 for the AZ-EQ6 was included in the price for the camera + 1 additional one for the HEQ5). Two were needed because the relevant holes in those two mounts are different sizes. But I find that in fact I have got three for the price of two. The one for the AZ-EQ6 also fits the EQ3 as well.
