Thumbs up Sketching Forum kick start <ZAP>

Hi all,

The mods have graciously revived the sketching forum for us pencil pushers,

Astro sketching is my 'thing' in astro. Whether it's using a feeble red light to illuminate the page as I tease out faint stars from a nebula, or have a screaming white light on my head as I work with the Moon, or shading my face while sketching a lovely prominence on the Sun, it's all cannon fodder for my sketch pad,

I'm not aperture biased either. Every scope has its own story to tell, so I enjoy laying down that story on paper. Big scopes show faint stuff, but small apertures show a wider field which is invisible to big scopes and all the details that surround that single little DSO. Binos too, :)

So, my intention in this forum is to post my work as I go, and hopefully inspire others to pick up a pencil too. There is no right or wrong way of doing an astro sketch. The ONLY thing that matters is having a go. My eyes are different to yours. My sky is different to yours. So, every sketch will be unique, and a treasure,
